Post subject: remote helpdesk software and dynamic domain name issue Add to elertz Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>work_remotely (more info?)
Hi,
I am using No-IP Dynamic update because I have a dynamic IP. This gives me a
domain name to use instead of having to check my IP all the time. I would
also like to be able to use Remote Helpdesk client from Gidsoftware but when
I load up the client module and log in to point it to my dynamic domain
address under the Reverse IP - Modify option it asks me for an IP address
(that the program points to so that I can log in to a clients computer for
support). There isn't an option to add the dynamic domain
(mydomain.no-ip.org). Does anybody know a way around this?
Cheers,
Lenny

I would contact the folks at Gidsoftware for a resolution to your problem...
