Post subject: What can prevent local printer showing on remote machine? Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>work_remotely (more info?)
All,
Trying to use my HP Photosmart D7160 connected to USB001 on the local
machine to print document during a remote session.
The printer box is ticked in the local resources tab. The printer does
not show up in the printes folder on the remote machine, although
"microsoft XPS document image writer " from the local machine does show
up.
What could prevent my HP printer from showing up on the remote machine?

It could be the printer driver issue. This post may help.
