Just got a pny ti4600.  When playing UT2003, Max Paine & all others
(so far)  the games freezes just after start, then works for a
short time (10/20 sec) then freezes> works>freezes>works etc. Problem
stays even with card @ lowest settings and most everything turned off.
Opened up the case and pointed a small desk fan at the card.  Card
w/ fan rocks, all works well with settings at  highest. Turn off
fan and back to old problem Told Tech people about problem, haven't
told them about my fix. Don't think I should need to do the above to
make  this $250 card work. Before I talk to them again, what do
you guys think? Running a P4 2GIG Dell w 500 megs, big sound
card:rocket:

If the card comes w/o a fan & you play unreal tournament then you probably
should invest in a better card.NVIDIA 7800 can be had for 200. or so.

Sounds like the card has a heat problem (obviously) This may be due to a bad
card, poor design, or not enough cooling air available inside the case.
The usual proceedure is to try another card.
