Post subject: Can't send mail Add to elertz

I have a new computer running XP professional . This is my first time using XP.

I can get my mail, but can't send mail out.

I think the problem may have to do with the way my name appears in the From
field in my outgoing mail. It looks like this and I don't know how to change
it.

MY NAME <myusername.RemoveThis@comcast.net> -myusername.RemoveThis@comcast.net

If you can't send mail, then your SMTP settings are incorrect. Go to
Comcast's website and there are tutorials for setting up your email with
whatever email program you are using.

call your internet service provider and ask them to configure you mail
program with their settings. Let me know if that works, it should.
