Yes, probably. Some programs need 1.1 and 2.0 will not work with them.
If you have such a program, you need it.
My recommendation is to keep all the .net versions. Uninstalling them
saves a tiny amount of disk space, and even if you don't need one of
them today, you may need it tomorrow.

Thank you por pointing me in the right direction.
I think I found the solution to the problem.
I removed Office 2000 Pro. sp2, and .NET installed with no problem.
Now I have to find a way to not receive the following message when I try to
open some programs.
" The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other removable disk
that is not available. Insert the 'Norton AntiVirus 2005' disk.
I have removed Norton's security from my computer, so it must be an imbedded
plugin in Office 2000.
The hunt continues, again thank you.

i need to install it too for video editing programs and ive been trying
so many times and it keeps saying theres a error. it says "failed to
instal....because of system error:0x80131107"
can any1 help me please?
