Post subject: i need help Add to elertz Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>messenger (more info?)
every things runing ok in my copuyer but windows live messanger has erro code
( 80048820 and 80048412 ). i need ur help to solve this problem . when i
cheak the system i find every things r normal .

Hi mikeyhsd
The 2 errors can be caused the following.
1: check the system clock. Incorrect time and date can cause the error.
2: Could be a that softpub.dll needs re-registering. to do this:
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 softpub.dll and then click OK.
Restart MSN Messenger.

Click on the clock at the bottom right-hand side of your screen, and make
sure it is roughly the right date/time, and it should work.
I've literally just fixed mine after about 3months of nothing.
