How can I add explorer to start up so when I turn the computer on it will go
to explorer without having to click the explorer icon.

Add whatever you wish to start upon logon into the startup folder in All
Programs.

You can have *any* program start automatically when you boot by adding
a shortcut to it to the appropriate folder.

If you want it just for you, put the shortcut into

C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

If you want it for all users, put the shortcut into

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
