For its high definition video quality and supreme storage capability, Blu-ray disk has superseded the standard DVD format in many aspects. People who do not possess of Blu-ray collections can be said out of date. Blu-ray disks store video files in the format of .m2ts, which is an absolutely new format to many owners, and nearly all portable devices have no native supports to this format, even the multifunction and powerful iPhone 3GS is without exception. To satisfy the requirements of those people who want to rip their beloved Blu-ray movies to iPhone 3GS for entertainment, this post will concentrate on this point, and is going to tell you how to add Blu-ray movies into iPhone 3GS for playback. The software we will use is named http://www.pavtube.com/blu-ray-ripper/ (Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper), and the following is its detailed instruction, okay, now let’s move on with this tutorial together step by step.

Step 1: Download, install and launch Pavtube http://www.pavtube.com/blu-ray-ripper/ (Blu-Ray Ripper)

After launched, a beautifully designed wine red interface will show up as below, which offers three ways to import Blu-ray files, namely, through “DVD Rom”, “DVD Folder” and “IFO/ISO”.

Step 2: Select a format for iPhone 3GS and specify save path

After Blu-ray files are loaded, what you should do next is selecting an iPhone 3GS format as output format via clicking on the drop-down list of “Format”.

Once you click on the drop-down list of “Format”, the following interface will appear, select “iPhone” firstly, and then choose a format which can fit your needs, here I select “iPhone 3G H.264 640x480 (*.mp4)” as an example.

Meanwhile, if you want to combine all the Blu-ray files to be as a single file, so that there are no intervals while playback on your iPhone 3GS, you can tick checkbox “Merge into one file” to achieve this goal. Also, if you dislike using the default save path to store the output files for your iPhone 3GS, you are allowed to specify a destination folder by yourself via hitting the folder icon at the end of “Output”.

Step 3: Set advanced settings

If you want to adjust video and audio parameters like aspect ratio, codec, bit rate, frame rate, etc. of your Blu-ray files, you can do it on the window below through pressing “Settings” button. Generally speaking, to get better quality, you should change the input figures into larger values, but one thing you must pay attention that it will produce larger file size at the same time. On the contrary, if you insert smaller values, you will get smaller file size simultaneously, but the output quality will become inferior as well.

Step 4: Rip Blu-ray files for iPhone 3GS

As soon as all the above mentioned three steps are completed, now you can press “Convert” button to start Blu-ray ripping immediately. The ripping task will be finished at speed without any audio and video out of sync issues. After done, you can click on “Open” button to get the output files for your iPhone 3GS effortlessly.
