My system: Microsoft Window XP
Home edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2
Sony Vayo - DVD/CD-Rom DRIVE Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-15
The drive does not appear on 'My Computer', and it is crossed out on Device
Manager.
I would much appreciate your help for sorting this problem.

Can't see it but, when I clicked on troubleshooting in Device Manager I got
the following:
'Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot

it may have died, these days dvd/cd drives are cheap, get a new one.
