Win2KproSP4 upgraded to XPpro plus the SP2 CD....
Update Express Installation says that 5 KB's were not installed and
Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP not installed???

Don't know about the 5kb, but IE7 is a separate option.

Windows 2000 Professional retail version plus the Service Pack 4 CD..
Upgraded to Windows XP Professional version 2002 plus the Service Pack 2
CD..

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:

NB: Also applies to clean installs, upgrade installs, and Recovery installs.

Registering the Wups2.dll file did the trick, all 98 KB updates
installed o.k...
