I installed SP3 on one of my PC's and it won't rebot in ANY mode. Has any
else experienced this problem? I built this PC with and ASUS MB and was
thinking SP3 may conflict with something. Perhaps a MB update would do the
trick. Any suggestions?

Press F8 during a restart and choose 'last known good configuration'

Use the "Ratings" feature. It helps the new users.

I tried and it fails. As the OS is loading, it gets to a point loading
windows drivers and completely shuts down the PC, then it tries to restart
again... and the vicious cycle continues.

I noticed in another post some issues with AMD processors. I build this PC
with an ASUS AN32 SLI and a dual core AMD processor. It almost seems as
though something is triggering one of the MB safeguards. As an example if
the MB couldn't detect a processor fan, it shuts it all down. It's a similar
experience.

I thinking I may need to use my XP installation CD and try a system restore
prior to the SP3 download and install.

Thanks for you help Mark. Any further suggestions?

I was able to get my PC to boot from the F8 key and then "last known good
configuration." Thank you very much. I had previously tried the "last known
good configuration", but had arrived at that same screen via the windows boot
failure. Even though the screen is the same it didn't work before, but
through your suggestion, F8, (select boot drive) and then the "last known
good config" it DID work. Thanks Mark, much appreciated!
