I have two accounts on my windows media centre with SP2. One is
administrative and has a password and the other only has user rights and has
no password. Sometimes when I click the user account from the logon screen,
it asks for a password, even though the account has no password. I tried the
administrator password and also the password for the administrative account
that I set up. Neither one works. Anyone seen this?

Thanks,
Brian

Just press Enter as no password is required. It *should* be asking for
this 'blank' p/w every time you boot the system up and choose this User
Account to log on or, when switching to this User Account after logging
on with your Admin account.

No, I tried that too. Problem is I can't reproduce the problem. Sometimes
you just have to click on the user's name, and sometimes when you do that it
asks for a password.

One thing I didn't try was putting a password on the user account. Not that
I want to have a password, but I'll see if that makes a difference.

You could also create another User Account and see if the issue is
related to the corruption of the affected User profile.
