Post subject: Tricking an old program that wants files on CD

I have an old program that runs just fine on XP. It turns out to be an orphan as it was dropped by the company that took over the company that wrote and marketed it.

Anyway, it has some audio files on the distribution disk (it is a talking dictionary) that it insists be in a CD drive. It wont let me specify a drive letter that is not identified by the system as a CD drive. Is there any way to make the system identify say a USB flash drive as a CD drive? Or even better, a folder on the C drive appear to be CD drive.

Thanks!
Rich
