Post subject: Speaker problem
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>general (more info?)

Volume control is set to 4 speakers.
Creative control panael to 4 speakers.
All games to 4 speakers.
Audio properties in Windows to 4 speakers.

Still some program keeps changing to 2 speakers
(suddenly I notice rear speakers are gone).

But I can't seem to pin-point what Sad

Where are the speaker settings stored?

Is there a way to "reload" the 4 speaker settings at boot, to be sure
the speaker settings are "reset" to the right 4 speaker setting?
