I have been trying to install the above pix printer but keep getting a
message that the printer cannot be communicated with. I have downloaded,
installed and uninstalled the driver several times. I checked with my
security people, mcafee, to be sure the problem wasn't with that--it wasn't.
I have windows xp. I used it on a different machine without problem. It looks
like it's installed but won't print. Thanks for any help you can give me as
I've already gone through sony and mcafee.

How is it connected to the PC? LPT? USB? Network? Bluetooth/InfraRed?
Wireless? More info needed. Did you try installing on another PC?
Changing the cable?
If not, all you've done is ended up with the old drivers again.

forgot step 2 also so I'll go through the steps and hopefully that will do
it. thanks

Well--it sounded good but I end up with an error message "communication with
printer failed." The printer shows up on my printers panel but I cannot do a
test page.
