OK, well i think the easist thing to do now is to stop trying to use remote assistance, i mean you could probably end up spedning a week or more trying to track down the problem. Insted I have a better sollution, get your parents to download and install UltraVNC server, configure it with a password (you should use encyption, but it can be tricky to setup, aslong as you don't send any personal information you should be safe), then you install ultravnc but only the viewer. Now that your parents are running the server, and you are running the clint, you are ready to try it you now need to setup a NAT-2-NAT session (it's easy), all your parents need to do is run nsc.exe from here and then you yor self must run nvc.exe from the same location, then use UltraVNC as if it was a normal VNC session.

thanks for the solution Sparda, but it didn't work well. the installation is too complicated (at least to my parents) and i'v read on the FAQ that i still need to forward ports if i'm behind a router..isn't there a simple way to bypass all this situation? i'm sick of routers! always needs to be configured, and they're blocking too much! can't i just disable the whole protection of my router?...ehhg.. i'm sorry i'm just really frustrated by all of this...

I came to report that i tried to see if my port is open by typing "telnet" on command prompt and then i typed
"open 192.168.0.104 3389" (and the other time i tried "open 192.168.0.1 3389")

and i got this error message: connecting to 192.168.0.104...could not open connection to the host, on port 3389: connect failed

if anyone still find me a solution for remote assistance it would be great.

thanks,
Tom K.
