Post subject: No Remote Assistance Option
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>messenger (more info?)

Hi, running XP Home. Used to help others via remote assistance function in
Mesenger. Recently installed SP3 (but not sure if that's the culprit). Now
I notice that the remote assistance option is not available. When others ask
for remote assistance the message says I don't have it installed.

No problem, I thought, I'll just reintall. After numerous attempts I still
don't have the remote assistance option and I'm at a loss to explain why.

THe version of Messenger I have is 5.1.0715. Any ideas? Thanks.
