Just bought the expansion for NWN2 (yes, I have the original installed).
The problem is my games PC, running windows XP, can't seem to detect the
DVD when inserted. The PC takes forever trying to read it, then gives
up, showing the DVD drive to be empty. No other DVD does this! I tested
the disc on my work PC, which has the same OS, and it can read it
perfectly. Can anyone suggest anything?

Its a problem with your DVD player, and SecuRom (the game's copy protection).

The copy protection isn't compatible with all DVD players. So your best bet
is to play using a no cd crack, so you don't need to use the DVD.

I have the same problem . How do I change the CD Rom software ? CD ROM
Crack ? Securom ? I had installed a different cd rom drive and it did
read the first DVD but then the software must have change back and I am
now back to square one . I have just bought FSX Gold brand new and it
can be read on my back up computer but not on my game computer .

I have found the problem . On my computer I uninstalled the software of
the CD/DVD rom drive that I had taken out . I had installed a different
one (trying to fix this ) with its software but did not uninstall the
software of the one I had removed . I had a problem removing the
software though . I could not use the ADD/REMOVE software in the control
panel . I had to use REVO Uninstaller software which is free (google it)
. I hope this helps someone .
Have a Great day----- Jim
