I know this has been asked many time before, but I can’t find the
answer.
I want to move "C:\Documents and Settings" to
"D:\Documents and Settings".
I followed carefully all the steps in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314843/en-us under
"Moving the entire folder".
But after a reboot the registry keys and values point again to
"C:\Documents and Settings".

I recommend using 'Tweak UI'.
Open 'Tweak UI' and under 'My Computer/Special Folders' click the down arrow and select
'My Documents' then click the 'Change Location' button.

I don't want ot move "My Documents" but rather the entire
"Documents and Settings" folder.
That can't be done with TweakUI.
The only way seems to be the one described in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314843/en-us under
"Moving the entire folder".
But as I mentioned a reboot restores the registy entries to
"C:\Documents and Settings".
This last point is the problem.

"This is a tip that allows you to move ALL your personalized settings in 'C:\Documents and
Settings' to another partition."

This is still not what I'm looking for.
I don't want to move a single userprofile but rather the complete
"Documents and Settings" folder, which should be possible regarding
to the MS KB article 314843.
