I have a Dell computer where the mouse and the keyboard operate correctly
during boot up, when I get into Windows XP media addition they are both
frozen. I know that there is a problem with drivers and I was attempting to
reinstall the drivers from the Dell disks and when the computer rebooted the
mouse and keyboard were frozen. The reason that i was reinstalling the
drivers is that all the sudden Windows had idenified all kinds of new
hardware. Is there anyway to get around getting into windows to fix the
device drivers?

The same thing occurs in the safe mode. I also tried using the instalation
disk and doing a repair. Windows XP doesn't acknowledge the hard drive. The
hard drive is set up as RAID0 there are 2 hard drives both 149 Gb. I check
the drives at start up and they checked good. Any ideas? Do you need a
special version of Windows to reconize a RAID Array?

I don't have an original disk with drivers, the computer doesn't have a
floppy drive, do you know where I can go to get the drivers to download?

The SATA drivers should have come with your motherboard
and if you don;t have them you can download them from the mfg
Though there are ways to slipstream the drivers into your install cd,
it would prob be easier to install a floppy.
BTW: There is a *possibility* that creating an sp3 slipstreamed XP would
solve the problem,
but I think we better hear from an expert on that one!
