Can anyone recommend an internet file-sharing service?
I need a place where I can upload a few small files to be made
available to anyone to download. I want it to be anonymous on both
ends.
The main features I would like are:
1. Completely anonymous. Anyone can download the files without
providing any personal information and they do not get any infomation
about me.
2. Minimal file management. I would have an account and could log in
to add, delete, or replace files. Replaced files would not get a new
link. That is, I could replace a file after giving out the link and
the user would get the new file.
I am aware of places like SendSpace. SendSpace would be perfect, but
every upload is a new file. There is no way to replace a file and
reuse the download link.

What about a peer-to-peer service, like Gnutella ?

Depends ... are the files legal, and are they yours to give away?

(heh) Yep, they are legal and mine. Mostly small Word docs, Excel
workbooks, and such. Sometimes I have either a problem or a solution
in Word or Excel and the support newsgroup does not allow binaries.

I'm pretty certain you can do this via Email - no not standard.. I
mean - it's either Gmail or GMX (www.gmx.com) one or the other
provides a means to establish a shared folder, and you give
permission/ability for another person(s) to log in with a separate
password, to access the folder containing the files to be shared - if
that's something like what our after... else - - you could always
set up a web page with Download links to the files? not sure how this
would fit in with the annonymous requirement though.

I use a site called freewebs for this sometimes. It's actually one of
those "make a free website" sites, but all I ever do with my account is
upload files - pics, docs, video, etc - and provide links to them. I don't
think I've used it in quite some time, but I see that all those files are
still there. Such as:
<http://www.freewebs.com/freemont/bay.jpg>
If I delete that and upload a new file called "bay.jpg", the old link
would go to the new file. This might suit your needs well.
