I am having problems with Word2003 to open weblinks.
It seems that the mshtml.dll is not beeing registred in Registry.
Receving the following error message when I try to register mshtml.dll file.

RegSvr32
---------------------------
mshtml.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.

This file can not be registered.

How can I solve this?

Looking forward to receive a solution on this.

1 => Try to Uninstall/Repair XP Office from Add/Remove in control panel then
Reboot and see if that will solve your issue.

2=> If not then try this step:
download these software and update their definitions then run a scan:
For Malwares download both these software:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D
Run Defrag in safe Mode, then start in Normal Mode and open a run command to
register these DLLs or you can copy and paste in your Notepad and save the
File As reg.bat on your Desktop and then open the run command and type in:
reg.bat and click [OK] to execute the reg file.
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 shell32.dll
regsvr32 softpub.dll
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
Reboot your computer and try to install the software, does it work?.
If not then run this command:
sfc /scannow click [OK] and let it run.
HTH.
Let us know.

Hi
I have now done what you suggested, but I still have problems.
The following error message still appears: mshtml.dll was loaded, but the
DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.

Who exactly told you that this is the case?

You can't. Since IE7, that file cannot be registered that way anymore.

Hi HTH

I have now checked the Application log and nothing is recorded in the log.

I am using Word2003. The user has created hyperlinks to documents on the
internet (We are using Internet Explorer 7) When clicking on the link in a
word document, using ctrl+click. The warning about that the some files can
contain ......"

Select OK and the user is getting A runtime error.When running a debugg,
Following messages pops-up:

"An exeption 'Runtime Error' has occured in Script.

However, no debuggers are rgistred that can debug this exception, Unable to
JIT debug."

I have on an earlier stages manage to copy the following from the debugging.

"<html><head><script src="res://mshtml.dll/objectembed.js"></script> <script
language="javascript">var
objectSource="http://a257.g.akamaitech.net/7/257/2422/14mar20010800/edocket.access.gpo.gov/2007/pdf/E7-8105.pdf";
</script> </head><body onload="ObjectLoad();" leftmargin=0 topmargin=0
scroll=no> <form id="objectDestination"></form> </body></html>"

If I try the same word document on an other computer, the links are working
perfect.
