How can I control which colors are printed in a document. Or prevent a
specific color from printing. For example, if i decided I did not want a
document to print Red, is this possible?

Very dependent on the functions provided in the application you are
using and/or the driver provided by your printer's manufacturer. There
have be a few occasions when I "printed" a document to a file for a
Postscript compatible printer and loaded that file into a vector based
graphics editor.

You may or may not be able to do it with options in the printer driver.
There are usually color related options that allow you to select less or
more of a color, or change the color balance and intensity. You may have to
select manual options rather than automatic. I suppose you need to poke
around in the printer driver option windows.
Since you did not identify your printer, it would be difficult to give you
more detailed instructions.
