Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

I was playing with diskmgmt.msc and found that on my hard disk there are 2
new partitions. (These partitions are not visible from Windows Explorer)

These partitions have no drive letter and when I highlighted the partition,
from "Action, All Tasks" the only availabe option is "Delete Partition". All
other options including the "Change Drive Letter" option are dimmed.

How can I make the other options, especially the "Change Drive Letter"
available?

I want to see what they are from Windows Explorer.

I am running WinXP SP3 on a Dell Dimension.

Thanks in advance

Charles.

Archived from groups: per prev. post (more info?)

Those partitions are likely related to the Dell diagnostics and/or recovery,
leave them alone.
