When trying to add a new user account or guest, I get a message under a
NkVwMon banner saying "Failed to update registry. Please try using
REGEDIT".

Why doed this happen, and what's the action?

A quick Google on this suggests you might have Nikon digital camera software

Thanks. I hadn't thought to look at other programs. Have removed NikonView
