Under Tools and Plug-ins, I find TrackSweep. I check all the items under
Internet Explorer, but nothing happens. When I look into Windows Explorer I
see that the cache has not been emptied. Is there something I'm missing
here?

Perhaps asking in a LavaSoft Ad-Aware forum would get you an answer faster
than asking in a Windows XP forum?

Well, I thought that a group concerned with "security" would be familiar
with Ad-Aware.
In any case, thanks for the links. It seems I'm not the only one asking why
TrackSweep doesn't work.

I am familiar with AdAware but if you're looking for AdAware support
you're probably better off checking with the people who make AdAware.
They're going to know a lot more about it than we are. Just a
suggestion. Smile
