When I try to spell check outgoing email, a message pops up saying the "This
language is no longer available for spell checking. Please select another in
the spelling options dialog box." Since I'm writing in English and its the
only language I speak fluently, I seem to be out of options. I'm also a
terrible speller, so really need the spell check.

If spell checker is enabled, then try changing the language. You should
already have it set to English, but change it to, say French and then back
to English again.

Thank you so much John.
Very easy instructions to follow - I was getting really frustrated with my
new computer & tempted to go back to another provider!

Windows Vista doesn't provide it.
Now, ow is to read someone elses's complain is supposed to help me?
Who will help all of us? Would Windows ever give us some help?
I try to have a staight answer, not other people complains...
