i recently got my computor rebooted by pc world, it is back to factory
settings. I did this as my internet stopped working, i can now get connected
but it is very slow and sometimes throws me out of pages and "internet cannot
be displayed" comes up. Also when i try to go on to help and support it will
not connect me. Is there a problem with my windows??
Also i have a presario d drive which i know is my back up files but would
that be slowing my pc up??

Take it back to PC world, its not at Factory settings, or if it was you've
done something to it since then
Your backup drive D, is most likely your recovery drive, which is what you
use to put the PC back to factory supplied condition.
I suggest you read Compaq's FAQ's available on their site, for your specific
model
