After some time of operation (using sleep function as well) my Vista host
cannot resolve specific DNS names. For example it cannot resolve
www.example.com but it can resolve example.com. At the same time, it can
resolve other www names. I thought the problem was with the provider but
then I noticed that I can successfuly resolve and ping those names from
within the router. The problem is solved after reboot.

We had some similar cases. It is router issue. This search result may help.

don't fix the problem, try to use FireFox because some web sites and coding

It doesn't look similar to what I have. Browser is irrelevant since I use
Ping. Also restarting the host resolves issue not restarting the router. It
is a Vista issue.
