Robin,

Sadly I am able to do this on my desktop. Music, stationery, photos, etc. I
never get this error.

I have only had this laptop for a few days and it is a whole different
animal. I'm getting the same error.

It isn't what you are doing, it isn't because something was suppose to
arrive and it didn't. I don't understand ir either. It works fine on my
desktop and not on this laptop. Luckily the laptop is used only for travel.

If the software is corrupted as suggested, it came on this system that way
and what I backed up is corrupted as well. There is no "recovery" disk.

I am going to inquire directly to MS and see if there is a fix. If I find
anything I'll pass it along.

My smug husband just left the room saying I've never had that problem on my
laptop. grrrrrrr

Don't know if this means anything but if you go to the bottom and hilite and
delete the info plastered from Yahoo it doesn't get the error. The emails not
from yahoo aren't doing it. This is added to the bottom of the email
___._._.____

I know this has nothing to do with photos or music but does address the
original question of the error message and how to get rid of it.

I'm still looking...............

I don't usually have any trouble sending pictures in the message of my
emails. However, I have the pictures saved on my own hard drive in a folder
named Samples under the folder "Pictures". Click on INSERT, select PICTURE,
click on BROWSE to find your file and select it, then click on OPEN. This
should insert the picture at the point where your cursor was. The only time
I have a problem is when I am forwarding a message with pictures in it and I
got around it by selecting the picture in the original email and then
clicking on SAVE AS, give it a name and select the folder name you want to
add it to. Then you just follow the directions at the beginning. I hope you
find this helpful. Sincerely, Maritimes4Ever

Oh how I agree!!!! When I bought this new computer about six months ago I
asked if I could have it with XP instead of Vista because I didn't think
Vista was old enough to be trusted. Unfortunately, they informed me that
Dell no longer installed XP and I had no choice but to accept it with Vista.
I don't understand why they even developed Vista. It is a resource hog -
have you ever taken a look at how much RAM it uses? Most of the so-called
'improvements' are anything but! I have yet to find one thing that is better
than XP. I like Windows Mail but could have stayed with Outlook Express just
as well. I have also considered going back to XP but can't afford to buy it.
Of course, we all complained about XP at first too - but I really do miss
it. Other than the usual effort to learn something new, XP never gave me the
problems I've had with Vista!

Sometimes 'picture' may be referring to HTML fonts or to a stationery or a
message in colour.

Why do you want your RAM to go mostly unused? Your RAM is meant to
be used. If Vista caches a lot of data in RAM, that is good because it
speeds things up.
