I am currently running Vista x86 business and I cannot get Movie Maker to
import any videos from my camcorder. I've imported them using Sony's
software, then converted them to wmv. They play perfectly fine in media
player, but when I try to import them into Movie Maker, they appear as a 5
pixel, flat line in the middle of the preview window. I've installed the
Vista Codec Package, there are no new drivers for my video card, and I've
tried multiple different wmv files. I'm stumped!!

So the WMVs don't import properly but otherwise everything works?
Vista Codec Package is NOT by Microsoft and does NOT add any value here. It
certainly could sabotage things as it has before, but it is NOT needed here.
What are the results of WMP's Help:About:Technical Support Information menu
tools?
I'm curious if this is a problem with the content or a problem with the
tools/codecs.
Does this system have Vista Service Pack 1 yet?

Speaking for myself only.
