Thanks Gary I will try it out, but could it be my ISP Sky that is
sending out twice from their server as the data times are different?

It is possible that the Sky server is at fault, but highly unlikely.
Let us know if you have a recurrence of the problem even after
stopping the re-editing of emails in the Outbox.

Did you by any chance set up 'mail forwarding' on the Sky website?

Thanks Steve, No I haven't and should I?
As you are aware Sky franchised their E mail site to Google some time
ago at about the same time I started to have this problem.
Have just sent Sky Customer Services an E mail about my problem, hope
they don't get it twice!

No it just appears that you already have it ? Smile)

I know little about Sky mail, accept that I read that it was web mail only
(no POP), up to a short time ago, but I also read that it allowed mail
forwarding at that time?

Go and dig around the account settings on their website, after you loin to
your account, you never know?

No I have always had Pop3 to windows mail. Sky usually give good fast
reliable service. I can highly recommend its Broadband, telephone and e
mail package. But e mail accounts are under the Google Mail POP3 via Sky
web.
Had a rummage around all check boxes and protocols look good. Perhaps I
should wait for a reply to my e mail? A few years ago Supanet had the
same problem on their server!
