Okay, I uninstalled printer and drivers.
Downloaded full install from HP website.
The one that includes Vista.
I installed it
Reconnected my usb and power when told to.
Every thing installed correctly.
I still can print from Mozilla Firefox.
I still cannot print from Internet Explorer.
I checked Properties Advanced and tried all different ways, print right
away, etc.
Nothing worked.
I give up.
I will have to use Mozilla Firefox if I need to print a web page.
The following still happens:
Here is what happens:
1. Select Print or Print Preview on File Command to print an article on a
web page using Internet Explorer 7
2. Printer window pops up.
3. Select Print.
4. Printer icon appears temporarily in the Taskbar.
5. It says Open all Active Printers
6. It says Open the Printer Folder
7. It says 0 Documents
8. The 8250 does not appear because nothing went to the queue.
9. It then disappears.
10. Nothing can print because there is nothing in the queue.

I wish I could come up with a solution for you but when it doesn't
happen that way for me I can't think what it can be.
How uptodate is your MSIE? MS keeps issuing bug and security fixes --
maybe one of those has gone wrong?
Internet Options / Advanced TAB has a reset button -- it won't do any
harm to try that. Open HELP in MSIE and search on Repair then look at
Repair Internet Explorer for some details.
Is there a newsgroup here for Interent Explorer? If so ask there.
If not check out the Compuserve Internet Explorer Forum:

Internet Explorer 7, that's a laugh.
I did post this problem on the Internet Explorer newsgroup, and guess what?
Someone forwarded it to this newsgroup and said that's where it belongs.
So much for help from them.
I will let you know if it ever gets fixed.
What I hate most about Microsoft is that they never back or support their
products without a charge.
We should all revolt. This is not what a control company should do. It is so
frustrating.

Annoying -- Try the Compuserve Forum I gave you. You don't have to be a
member anymore -- just log in with an AIM name and create a password or
something like that.

I definitly feel your pain. I have exactly the same problem with my HP
DeskJet 5650 printer. I can't print in IE 7 with protected mode on.
The only driver available for my printer is the one included on the Vista
disk and my printer does not use the HP Director.
HP customer service tells me it is an IE 7 bug, and the MS reps on this
forum have been laying it on HP. Looks like us users are coming up losers.

I have the exact same problem it can be 'worked around' by running IE as an
Administrator. It will then print OK. But it is a total BF I agree. I wish
between them someone from MS and HP would sort out this mess - I am gonna be
dumping one or the other for browsing pretty soon.

Hello,
I also have the Vista Printing Issue from IE7. This is a fresh install
and I am able to print from other applications. I have uninstalled the
HP Software and ReInstalled with no change. The print Icon on taskbar
flashes and after the reinstall the print job showes in the print queue.
Nothing ever prints from IE7 and the print job disappears from the
queue.
I Reinstalled Vista for other reasons and checked printing and it
worked fine. Now all of sudden it stopped printing. I just may
ReInstall Vista and monitor when the printing stops. Just wondering if
any others have the same problem or some helpful suggestions before I
reinstall.

I have the same issue: Vista Business 32 and HP printer (Photosmart
2610) IE7 is only app that won't print. I can print to a PDF output from
IE and it works. I reinstalled the driver. It's been working for at
least 5 months. Only changes I remember off the top are: Upgraded AVG to
8 and uninstalled RingCentral.
I saw another post on a different forum that said their problem started
around April 27-May2 ... same for me. It's gotta be something easy for
it to work and then break.
