Hi

Has anyone figured out when and how we can embed some mp3 music to emails we
send.
It is one of the functions I always loved in OE, but since Vista arrived
with Windows Mail it has gone.

It used to be simply a matter of Format/Background/Sound and indeed you can
still do this in Vista Mail, but it will not allow itself to be sent.
Indeed you get shown a rather ambiguous error message which states,

" One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you
send this message these pictures will not be included. Are you sure you want
to send this message?
And you have a YES?NO option.

Can anyone tell me if its a known fault that will be addressed by MS. !!! ?
or possibly whether there is any add-on or indeed software that could
assist.

TIA

That error message usually means that whatever you are trying to attach is
still open in some other program, in which case Windows Mail will have
trouble attaching it. Try closing the other programs before you try to
attach
it.

Microsoft has apparantly stopped issuing updates for Windows Mail,
and shifted most of their email effort towards their newer email program,
Windows Live Mail.

If you want to ask if Windows Live Mail has the capability you want,
you're likely to get a better answer in newsgroup:

microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

Format | Background | Sound did NOT let you use MP3 as a file extension in
OE. You have the exact same choices in WinMail as in OE. In OE there were
ways one could embed an MP3 using the active movie control and involving
scripting.

The best way to send music and images is to get a free website at yahoo geocities or even a blog and there you can make a little webpage which is simple to do with blank editor or yahoo pagebuilder and upload images and music and video files and then just make a little page and send the link to them or embed the entire page into your email this way you can also embed a download code into the video or mp3 player so the person can download the music and video files..html codes are easy to find by doing a google search like ... html codes video player
code and just copy paste them into your page..tons of free sites and blogs and is fun to do too

is easy <body bgcolor="put color here" text="color"> <img src=""></a> these
codes are simple to find on the net
