You don't. If you have been saving stuff there, you should put it
somewhere else.

That drive/partition holds what you need to

1) create a recovery disc
2) use if your system gets fried

You should do #1 ASAP

Your D drive exists such that you can restore the operating system in the
event that it crashes out completely..

Remove any files you may have saved to it, and then leave it alone until
such time as you need to do a complete reformat and install..
