Post subject: 2 questions Add to elertz Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>mail (more info?)
1. in outlook express a newsgroup name (like
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail) was highligted in red when there was a
reply to a watched message.
In win mail it does not happen now.
When I press "sync account" or "sync all", although I myself send a message
to a wacthed messaged before checking, the related newsgrou name is not
highlighted.
Once it happened, but I dont know how it did.
But in general it naver happens.
And when I press "sync acount" it always returns the message "there is
nothing to sync ...."
2. Altough i have not settled any message rule, a specific user's name is
automatically marked to be watched.
I have no idea why that happens. Whenever thast person send a message, when
I go to the newsgroup where this message is sent,
i see that it is marked to be watched and the message is highlighted in red.
Why win mail does this?

For the second one, threads that you start are highlighted in the selected
color (Tools | Options | Read) and that can be turned on and off by toggling
the checkbox, "Message Threads" under Tools | Options | Advanced.

Click on Tools, then Options, then Read. If Red is not selected as the
color
after Highlight watched messages:, click on the triangle after the color,
then
Red, then Apply. Click on Advanced. If there is no checkmark in the box
before Mark message threads I start as 'Watched', click on this box, then
Apply. Click on OK.

Click on Tools, then Accounts. For each of the accounts you want included
in the sync, click on the account, then Properties. If there is no
checkmark in
the box before Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing
or Include this account when checking for new messages, click on this box,
then Apply. Click on OK, then go on to the next account you want included
if there is one, or click Close otherwise. You will probably keep getting
that
message if you don't select at least one account this way.

Does that user use a From: address similar to yours? If so, Windows Mail
may
be confusing you with that other user.
