I received an email with pictures, that I cannot see. I went to options ,
security and unchecked the block images box, but I still cannot get the
pictures. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a symbol near the top right corner of the message indicating there
is at least one attachment? If so, click on that symbol, record the file
name,
and try to save the attachment without changing its file name. If you can,
try double clicking on that file name to open the picture outside Windows
Mail. Tell us the result, and the part of the file name starting with the
last
period.

There is no symbol in the right corner. There is only a red x in the left
corner of the body of the message. There is no attachments.

I have the same problem, but I don't even get a red x in a box - the jpg
image i copied and pasted within the body of an e-mail vanished when it got
to another of my computers. The originating pc uses Outlook 2007 and Vista;
the receiving one uses Windows Mail and Windows Live and Vista. I attached
the image file and it vanished, then I pasted it to a word doc and pasted
that to the e-mail. What this means is I have no way to send jpg images to
the pc.

The clue is that the originating PC uses Outlook.
Outlook has a proprietary attachment format called RTF. Other email
programs can't decipher that format. When sending from Outlook,
make sure you select plain text (best) or HTML format.
