I'll 2nd this suggestion. MalwareBytes is a very nice program for
getting rid of pesky virii that other AV programs miss.

I'll have to take everyone's word on this: I've never HAD a virus or
malware infestation in 17+ years online - and I've never had any
protection program find one before it infested - so I don't know from
experience if it's better than others or not.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm finally free of the thing! Ended up
getting the Microsoft OneCare in addition to the malwarebytes program, so
hjopefully this will turn out ok. In future, I certainly won't be opening any
email ... even if they're from microsoft.com
thanks again for the advice:)

it is a virus that is really hard to get rid of... i already got this on
my pc a few weeks ago, however i cannot tell you how to remove it i
dealt with a computer technician to remove it from 'pcrepairexperts.net'
(http://www.pcrepairexperts.net) site. they are able to connect by
remote and repair/clean your pc. since then i dont have any problem. let
me know if this is working...

After a week of fighting that virus and other Trojans. Backup data
tonight. Surgical strike tomorrow.
