Post subject: Windows movie maker--timeline is not right! Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>music_pictures_video (more info?)
hi, everybody, it was my first time to make the photo movie with window movie
maker. At the beginning it was ok, but later i realized there was a problem
with the timeline. The music played in the middle was in a different pace
when played from the beginning. It was delayed when I played it in the middle
of the timeline, compared from the beginnng. I couldn't match the photos with
the music precisely due to the incorrectness of timeline or music (i don't
know) So I have to play the video from the beginning to check if my editing
was ok or not every time and again. That was really annoying! Can anyone help
me with this problem? Thank you!

Oh my god Katie... I've been having this SAME EXACT problem lately when
trying to make my movies on this program!!! When I play my song at the
beginning, it seems fine but when I fast forward it, the music is in a
different place then when played from the beginning and I have no
****ing clue why!! It is VERY annoying because I can't get my pictures
in the right spots either since the timeline is wrong!!!!
The weird thing is that for some of my videos, this never happened and
I completed them without having to deal with this problem but for some
damn reason, its happening now...
SOMEBODY PLEASE TRY AND HELP ME WITH THIS SO I CAN PUT FINISH MY VIDEOS
AND PUT THEM UP ON YOUTUBE!!! THIS IS FRUSTRATING AS HELL AND I CANT
FIGURE IT OUT!!! IS IT A GLITCH OR SOMETHING??

I'm having similar prob - I go into timeline and "stretch" the pictures to
match where they should be in the audio, but when I go back to the
storyboard, all that is lost, and the transitions are also gone so I have to
put them back in. I go back into timeline, and all the picks are the correct
size, but are all overlapping, so it screws up the audio. How to keep the
pictures from overlapping and how to keep from losing transitions?

I think I'm the only person in the world who reads these discussion posts and

Hey I can actually help you!!!
Okay, I was getting FRUSTRATED at this problem, until...
I found the solution,
here's a step by step guide:
1) Open a new WMM document
2) Import the music you want
3) Add the music into the movie timeline, do not add video clips
4) Click on 'File' and 'Save movie file'
5) Save as an audio file (.wma) -this should be the default as you only have
the music
6) Import this saved audio as a replacement to your old music
It still sounds the same but works without the stress! Hope this helped (CBS)
if so.. please say thanks XD
