Hello Dawn

Sorry if that wasn't clear, I meant to tick the Run as admin box under
Properties>Compatibility of the app. you are using to copy the pics to
the wallpaper folder , not the camera itself.

Also, I found when importing from my scanner , sometimes the imports
have the read only box checked under Properties>General. As some of your
jpegs seem to copy , and some not, - might be worth checking to see if
that's the case

Many thanks to Pooch,SIW2 and Malke !:D

I've finally managed to do it though I'm not quite sure which one of
your suggestions did the trick because i've done just about everything
suggested! One other thing I did on the advice of a friend, was to go
to Documents/photo albums/File/Share and put in all users of this
computer. At least I think that's what I did!

Anyway, thank you all so much for going to so much time and trouble on
my behalf.
