I know you can't reinstall Media Player 11 as it is a part of the vista
OS, but is there a way to solve this. I have searched extensively and
none of the fixes I have found seem to work.

Can anyone help?

Regards

Paul

Did you Check for Solutions using the Problem Reports and Solutions Center
control panel?

Is there any reason this system hasn't been updated to Service Pack 1 yet?

What was installed to this system before it broke? Perhaps
SatelliteTVforPC? I'm suspicious that a bogus version of wmp.dll might be
floating around this system.
