I don't think it's a sleep mode problem though. Because I close the lid
(sleep mode) all the time. Sometimes when going to class or when I'm at
practice. For instance the 28th I had practice and class two separate times
when I was gone for more then 2 hours. Yet explorer didn't crash on start
up. I probably put it to sleep on 4 or 5 occasions on the 28th without any
problems. So either it's an extremely inconsistent sleep error, or something
else. Not to mention it has crashed when I was finished watching video files
as mentioned in the first post, unless they were two completly separate
incidents. Because originally that was the main reason I posted on here
because the I was crashing around the time of the video player, it's just
that recently it's been on start up. Like I said very inconsistent.

Post subject: WERCWEvent,APPCRASH,the pipe state is invalid,TR/Agent.bpog [Login to view extended thread Info.]
Windows Explorer Crashing Randomly (WERCWEvent,APPCRASH,the pipe state is invalid,TR/Agent.bpog)
Hi,
I also had this problem...
Problems:
- APPCRASH
-"the pipe state is invalid" all the time for any execution
-Problem signature
Problem Event Name: WERCWEvent
Problem Signature 01: Explorer.EXE
Problem Signature 02: 6.0.6000.16549
Problem Signature 03: 46d230c5
Problem Signature 04: 6
OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.2
Locale ID: 4105
Bucket ID: 88230278
Extra information about the problems:
Causing lots of troubles..
-accessing folders would take ever, or it just crashes
-"Search options" would take ever then crashes
-cannot save if download new applications/updates on any appl.
-cannot execute applications when without saving option, get error messages such as "The pipe state is invalid"
-End Task all the time or "close program"
-Wanted to update application cannot execute it
-Downloading fixes, but then cannot save or execute .exe
etc...
-Try to uninstall the latest applications, not successfull.
-try to "Repair/Restore Windows using sytem restore", get "Unsuccessfull not completed"
Solution:
1-Reboot your PC by choosing "SAFE MODE" option
In the SAFE MODE, Uninstall all the latest applications that you have downloaded (from when your problems started, for me it was the last month so I removed all applications downloaded the last month).
It might not be all cleared yet, then goto each folders of those applications and delete all the remaining folders and files manually.
Ideally rename all .exe file to another extension before deleting it, I have seen before .exe file in trash being re-executed and move within another folder (another behavior of a virus!)
note: If you don't use the SAFE MODE restart, trying to Uninstall application programs might not work, it would say you don't have the admin rights, or it would install instead of uninstall!!! or freeze etc...
2-Initiate a normal shutdown, then execute a normal restart. Everything is cleared!
3-You can then re-installed fixes, applications,... etc.
The cause that I think is:
-I had a virus previously detected by the antivirus, got it removed in quarantine. The virus detected was "TR/Agent.bpog"
But after when I downloaded applications, I started to have all kinds of problems. Every files seems to be corrupted or infected.
Running the antivirus does not show any viruses. I scanned with many antivirus tools...still no virus found!
