Post subject: Vista Windows Search Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>general (more info?)
Can not use advnaced search like WinXP to specify the criteria to search a
specific word file contains certain words i know like contains "report" *.doc.

The Advanced features of search are a bit hidden away. Open a folder, and
type your criterion ( ".doc AND report") into the search box, then use
"Organize" to check the "Search Pane" item in "Layout", then click the
double down-arrow in the corner to expose the Advanced search pane options,
and choose 'everywhere', 'hidden' or whatever advanced feature you want.
