Often, when I add a USB drive, and in some folders, Vista decides the
drive/folder contains music and explorer's "Details" view doesn't show the
usual stuff.

I get "genre", "rating", but I want "Date Modified", Type, Size...

Hi KC,

This tutorial below will show you how to change the folder template to
"All Items" for what you are wanting. Since it is a detachable USB drive
though, Vista will lose it's memory on what the folder view and template
settings are for it when it is unplugged.

To help Vista remember your folder view and template settings for
everything else in Vista, then Method Two in this tutorial can help you.

Hope this helps you,
Shawn
