Post subject: Vista Disk Space Usage
The last time I visited this site was when I had a Compuserve ID in the early '90's. I'm glad you're still around.
I created a 30Gig partition for my C drive thinking it was more than enough room for the OS and the program files. I think Visual Studio was the first one to go to the D drive. Since then I've been moving other applications to the D drive because the C drive keeps loosing space. From reading here I know it's primarily going to system restore points. My max size was unbounded.
While researching, I ran TreeSize and found the Windows directory to be 20GB. I know it wasn't large when I first installed it and it's only 11GB on a laptop that I just rebuilt. Here's some of the data from TreeSize for the Windows directory. What looks too large and what should I look for next?
All times are: Eastern Time (US & Canada) (change)
