Post subject: Video thumbnails not generating automaticly. Add to elertz
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>file_management (more info?)

Hello i just recently signed up for this site and now I need some
desperate help.
I have searched just about everything that i can think of and none of
it is just working out.

Here's my dilemma: I've just recently installed a fresh brand new copy
of Vista 64-bit Premium (and after many hours of dealing with dynamic
discs and backing up and else) and now noticed that my video thumbnails
are not generating. The ONLY videos that generate is the wmv files,
other than that my avi files are not generating at all.

I had used the VirtualDubMod fix but that didn't work because the new
videos still didn't generate by themselves.

I have these codecs installed: xvid, divx, cccp, and vlc player. But
still none works.

I have a laptop with the 32bit version of Premium and it does exactly
what it is supposed to do, every one of my videos have thumbnails.

So could you please help me with this problem, i should be able to
respond fairly quickly.

OK nevermind i figured it out somehow. The Klite codec pack i guess was
what i needed to install.
