DO NOT BUY LAPLINK TO TRANSFER TO VISTA. DOESN'T WORK I AGREE

I read in other msgs about the microsoft transfer companion where do you get
it?

microsoft transfer companion, but forgot to ask how you get that?

i did the easy transfer files cable last week can i go back and use the
companion now and if so how? I can't get quicken 99 to work on vista

No WET is designed to migrate data and settings from a running system. You
can install the old drive as a slave drive in the new Vista installation and
manually copy some data. That will be much harder and you won't be able to
migrate accounts and account settings.

I have a new Dell computer enroute with VISTA HOME PREMIUM.I invested in the
cable to transfer everything from existing computer to the new one. In trying
to learn how to use it properly, I note that "Programs" are not transfered.
If this be the case, what i the value of investing in the Belkin VISTA
approved cable for transfering my WINDOWS XP setup to the new VISTA Dell?
