MS Update is offering "Silverlight" as a download option - Has anyone
downloaded and what opinions /comment does anyone have?
Is there any real advantage by downloading, I generally understand it's
function, enlightment is wisdom!!!

Thanks Bill, should have mentioned I had read MS sights, I was just trying to
understand better.
It does appear to be a enhanced method of video/audio presentation, as
Bigguy says a MS flash type setup.
Thanks for input Carl, will procasternate a bit longer whether to download.

The advantage of having it is being able to view a web page that uses
it.

I downloaded that, as far as I can see, it doesn't do much at all!

The disadvantage is it's another bit of software that you can install, and
it is allowed to interact with web traffic.
I.e, it's a piece of software waiting for an exploit.
