When I want to print a page and click print, the screen opens where you
select number of copies, etc. In the middle left of this screen is "Status"
and immediately following status is the word "Error". I have one printer
directly connected to the computer and it is connected as the default
printer. But when I click print, nothing happens. How do I fix?

Uninstall and reinstall the printer.

I have the same problem.
Have tried to reinstall several times (using the guide the last time), but
it still doens´t work.
The printer works ok on our other PC with Vista 64 bit, but not on my laptop
with Vista home premium.
I tried to use another printer but still no result.
