I do not want Photo Gallery to automatically delete pictures from my camera
after importing. How do I delete pictures from my camera "after" they have
been imported?

Use your camera as a usb disk.
Create a folder where you want the pictures to go on the pc.
Copy the pictures to the folder.
And that is it, you can delete the pictures when you want from the
camera.

Perhaps the simplest process is to use the options available within the
camera menus to delete all images or to format the camera memory card.
